How you can keep your pet safer with Safety Zones (virtual fences).

Whether you’ve got a dog that has a tendency to escape, or a cat that wanders a little far when exploring their territory, Pawfit Safety Zones are here to give you some peace of mind that your pet is safe, wherever they are.

What is a Safety Zone?

A Safety Zone is a virtual fence, rather than a physical one, that you can put around your home, your workplace, favourite park or the homes of family and friends. These virtual fences work by using GPS and other technologies to track your pet and give accurate location updates.

Unlike an invisible fence for dogs, Pawfit Safety Zones do not cause any physical harm or give electric shocks to your pets when they leave the fenced areas.

How a Safety Zone can keep your pet safer

If your dog often tries to escape from your home or garden, you’ll know time is of the essence when it comes to finding them safely.

Sometimes though, you don’t even know your dog has escaped until it’s too late and then they’re well and truly lost. In these cases, safety zones can be a real life saver!

With all our Pawfit trackers, you can create up to 10 Safety Zones using the Pawfit app. You can put a virtual fence around your home, your favourite park or workplace, basically wherever your pet spends a lot of time.

As soon as your pet leaves the virtual fenced area, you’ll get a notification on your phone so you can check on their live location in the app and retrieve them if necessary!

Best of all, if you share your pet’s tracker with family members, they will also receive Safety Zone alerts so they can help bring your pet home safely.

You can even put Safety Zones around areas you don’t want your pet going near, such as a neighbour’s garden or a busy road and get notified when they go somewhere they shouldn’t. Now you’ll know as soon as your cat has wandered over to the neighbour’s house for their second dinner. Again!
