HOW TO: Use Live Tracking

There’s nothing worse than losing sight of your pet, even if it’s just for a short time. Pawfit’s Live Tracking is designed to help you find your pet quickly and is ideal for whenever they go missing.

What’s the difference between Live Tracking and regular tracking?

In regular active mode, Pawfit updates your pet’s location between every 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The more active your pet is, the more regular their location will update, e.g. when they are running around in the park.

When you turn on Live Tracking, your pet’s location is updated every 5 seconds. It is designed to be used in situations when you need to find your pet in a hurry.

Live Tracking uses a lot more battery power which is why Live Tracking has a 10-minute timer. If after 10 minutes you still haven’t located your pet, just tap the icon to turn Live Tracking back on.

How to use Live Tracking

  • To turn on Live Tracking, press the icon
  • A 10-minute time will appear in the top right corner of the map
  • Blue arrows will appear around your map icon. These arrows show the direction that your phone is pointed in and as you turn your phone, you’ll see the arrows turn too
  • Your pet’s location will update every 5 seconds and their location history will be appear on the map
  • Once you have found your pet, tap the Live Tracking Icon to turn it off
