2023 Holiday Gift Ideas for Pets and their Families

There is nothing more exciting than finding the perfect present for everyone on your gift-giving list this season. Useful and meaningful gifts go a long way with both the giver and the receiver, so the effort made is always worth it.

To help our Pawfit Pals “sleigh” the holiday shopping this year, we’ve pulled together some of the top demands we’ve learned pups have been asking Santa Paws for this year – and we all know happy pets mean happy pet owners!

For the Adventure and Fitness Pup

There is nothing most dogs like more than being active! Whether it’s playtime in the house or outside, walks in the park, hiking, or tagging along with the family for other outings and adventures, pups are up for all of it with a full wag of the tail.   For dogs like this that cannot sit still, a portable water bowl or a water bottle like this one is perfect for water on the go.  Pets always need to stay hydrated even though temperatures are cooler this time of year.  To compliment the water accessory, a coordinating treat bag would also pair well as active pups can work up quite an appetite.

For the Pampered Pooch

Some dogs may be less inclined to jump at the chance to go outside (especially during cooler seasons or wet weather).  However, lounging can be a full-time job as these pups prefer to spend their active moments chasing the sun rays that move about the house during the day through the windows.  As pet owners, we love to pamper them as much as they like the pampering!  Comfort and joy can come in all different shapes and sizes:  special dog beds, monogrammed pillows, blankets, or fluffy toys are all great gifts for relaxing in style.

For Pups Who Swear They’re Never Fed

While some breeds are worse than others, most dogs look for treats like they haven’t had a meal in weeks (but we all know the truth there!).  Pups love all kinds of treats and tasty bones to chew.  Christmas cookies are a holiday tradition this time of year that the humans mostly benefit from, but why not make a batch of holiday cookies for all the pets in your life like the dog next door, another family member’s pup, and your own as well?  This labor of love will be a gift that will keep pups drooling into January (so be sure to freeze some as well for later!). Check out some of our favorite dog cookie recipes here and get creative with the cut-out shapes for the holidays.

No matter which category (or all three!) matches your gifting list, don’t forget to add a GPS tracker like a Pawfit.  Keeping safe, healthy, and happy will always be a priority and with a pet location and activity tracker, you can track all the steps while adventuring, make sure they have worked off the cookies and treats to maintain fitness, and even track how your pup is resting on the new comfort gear.
