Christmas Letter from Pups to their Parents

Dear Human Mom and Dad,

Each December,  pups everywhere watch in awe at the holiday activities in and outside our homes this time of year.  The spirit of the holiday and winter season is so festive that it makes our tails wag uncontrollably with joy.  However, (insert dramatic paws here) – we want to make sure we get a fair shake in all the fun.  Isn’t it only fair that we should share in all the same joys you do?  We think you’ll agree, so to make things easy, here is a compiled list of “suggestions” to consider:

Treats–

We want lots of treats this year!  We see you eating holiday cookies, drinking eggnog and hot chocolate, and all kinds of goodies, and we just want our fair share.  Ok, we know we need to skip the hot chocolate, but don’t skimp on the pup treats, bones, or other yummies safe for us to consume!

Holiday Playdates

It only makes sense that if you are headed to a party, drop us off at a playdate!  We want to celebrate the holidays with our pup friends too, so if we can’t come along, then please make some time for us to share in some cheer with our furry friends as well.

Zoomies

We see you running around like crazy this time of year.   Whether you’re doing errands, preparing our home for holiday guests, or shopping like wild – it’s like the human version of the zoomies.  So, let us have the freedom to zoom to our heart’s delight this season without any repercussions.   It’s only fair.  So, clear the living room, or set up a course in the backyard, we’re ready to set records on our Pawfit tracker!

Winter activities–

This time of year you enjoy sleigh rides, go ice skating, and engage in all kinds of other outdoor fun.  We’d love some extra time at the dog park to enjoy the snow too by making snow angels, digging ,or just rolling around in that cool stuff.

Shopping-

Buying someone a new sweater for Christmas? Get one for me too!  Buying someone a new necklace?  Get me a new collar too – we love to accessorize! We’re just saying, that there are lots of things we’d would love to get from Santa Paws too.

Finally, we know we are spoiled pretty much every day, but we would also be remiss to not point out the discrepancies we notice this time of year.   No matter what, we just want to be with you and share in the joy of the season with you as much as possible.

With love and slobber kisses,

Your Beloved Pup
